Overview

Andijan State Medical Institute was founded in 1955 in Andijan. Since it was very necessary for that time and was the only higher educational institution in the Fergana Valley in the medical field, a lot of work was done to quickly restore and establish the institute. In the establishment of Andijan State Medical Institute, which is a higher school for doctors of our country, there are special merits of our selfless compatriots, skilled doctors such as Yusuf Otabekovich Otabekov, Rahim Muhammedovich Nurmuhammedov, Satqul Usmanovich Dzhumabayev. The achievements of the institute, which has passed the path of long-term development and progress, are being recognized worldwide.

The institute has 56 departments , with a total staff of 533 professors and teachers, including 36 doctors of science ( 14 of whom have the title of professor), 130 candidates of science ( 104 of whom have the title of associate professor). The scientific potential of the institute is 31.7% .

The institute has 4 faculties: medical, pediatrics, dentistry and advanced training and retraining of doctors, 7 undergraduate programs in medical, pediatrics, dentistry, vocational education, higher nursing, medical preventive care and pharmacy, and 29 master's programs. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ 2909 dated April 20, 2017, 2 new specializations were established for the master's program from the 2019-2020 academic year :

Foreign orientation and joint programs

It is planned to accept 100 foreign citizens (India, Pakistan, South Korea) in the new academic year for the treatment program .

20 students were admitted to the dentistry program, organized in collaboration with the Dagestan State Medical University of the Russian Federation .

The first stage of the master's degree in "Medical Engineering" in collaboration with Daegu University, South Korea, and Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering has been completed. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 8 students will continue their 2nd year at Daegu University.

A joint educational and practical methodological center has been established and is operating at the National Medical Neurosurgical Center named after NN Burdenko of the Russian Federation and the ADTI clinic.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, 3,903 students are expected to study at the institute in undergraduate programs , 391 in 29 master 's programs , 20 in joint programs , and 100 in foreign programs totaling 4,414 students. Currently, 39 foreign citizens are studying at the institute. They are citizens of the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic, Afghanistan, South Korea, and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For the 2019/2020 academic year , a study schedule and working curricula have been developed based on a standard curriculum for the 7 educational areas available at the institute (medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, vocational education, higher nursing, medical prevention, pharmacy) and have been reviewed and approved by the central methodological committee of the institute.

521 working curricula and teaching-methodological complexes have been developed by the professors and teachers of the 4-5 departments of the institute based on standard subject programs for all educational areas and courses, using advanced foreign experiences, and have been reviewed and approved by the faculty council and the central methodological committee of the institute. The electronic form of the teaching-methodological complexes has been recorded on an SD disk and placed in the ARM.

The institute's classrooms, lecture halls, and laboratory rooms (biology, medical chemistry, biological chemistry, biophysics, microbiology, normal physiology) are equipped with modern educational equipment (computer, projector, smart TV, electronic whiteboard, laboratory equipment, electronic forms for the virtual laboratory) and are widely used in the educational process.

For the 2019-2020 academic year, telemedicine has been established in the departments of General Surgery, Surgical Diseases, Faculty Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, and Neurosurgery in the surgical department located at the ADTI clinic . Conditions have been created for students to observe surgical procedures performed in the surgical block while standing in the classrooms and to communicate directly with the surgeon.

Eligibility Criteria

For Indian students applying for MBBS:

  • Must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Minimum 50% marks in PCB (40% for eligible reserved categories under Indian regulations).
  • Must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year.
  • Must have qualified NEET if planning to practice medicine in India after graduation.
